What are the Chakras?
When it comes to spiritual development this is truly a fundamental question. Through my experience I have found the Chakras to be just out of physical view, they sit just over the other side of the bridge. What do I mean when I say this? The breath is the bridge from what we know as physical experience to the energetic world of spiritual existence and the chakras are what facilitates spiritual energy flow across the bridge and can truly change how we live our lives and how we perceive the human experience.
This is why in my opinion it is very important to have our Chakra system as clear as possible, once the chakras are clear they allow spiritual energy to flow freely and not get stuck. We all have blockages within our system caused by situations that have happened in our lives, some are harder to remove than others. You can sense blockages within your system by studying memories that stay with you, repeating negative memories within your system can relate to a blockage that has manifested within your system, actively clearing the Chakra system can help move on from negativity and live a more fulfilled life.
The human Chakra system is vast and far too complex to explain in this article! But I will touch on what we commonly understand about how we are energetically made up from, our chakras are truly part of us humans, the same as our physical attributes that we enjoy and take for granted on a daily basis. That is why it is just as important to take care of our energetic body as it is to take care of our physical body. They both work in tandem and equally change our structure that makes us the complete human being that we perceive to be ourself.
The 7 main chakras that are commonly known are as follows:
1. Root Chakra - Located at the base of the spine
2. Sacral Chakra - Located at the navel area
3. Solar Plexus Chakra - Located above the navel
4. Heart Chakra - Located in the centre of the chest
5. Throat Chakra - Located in the middle of the throat
6. Third Eye Chakra - Located in the middle of the forehead
7. Crown Chakra - Located on the top of the head across the crown area
There are many other chakras located all over other areas of the body and also external chakras located outside of the body.
